Documentation Formatting

Each section of your submitted documents should be uniform in formatting. Please follow the following formatting for all application materials: 

Formatting for All Submitted Documents:

  • Font size: 10.5-12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 0.75-1 inch on all sides
  • Match ID: bottom right margin/footer of each page
  • Do not include your name in the written document

Maximum Page Length Requirements:

CV or Resume:

  • Uniformity in descriptions
  • Verb tense to match associated dates
  • No page length requirements
  • Bullet points are acceptable
  • Match ID should be centered at top of the first page in place of name and contact information
  • Keep the most relevant and impressive sections toward the beginning and the lesser relevant sections toward the end 
  • Entries within a section should be presented in chronological order, with the most recent activity listed first 
  • For each experience, be sure to list the following: 
    • Position title
    • Major responsibilities of the position
    • Place of experience
    • Name of supervisor/manager/PI when available
    • City, State of experience
    • Start and End dates of experience
