Each section of your submitted documents should be uniform in formatting. Please follow the following formatting for all application materials:
Formatting for All Submitted Documents:
- Font size: 10.5-12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 0.75-1 inch on all sides
- Match ID: bottom right margin/footer of each page
- Do not include your name in the written document
Maximum Page Length Requirements:
- Personal Statement: 3 pages, addressing only the 2 prompts
- Supplemental Writing Piece: 1 page
- Diversity Statement: 1 page
- Uniformity in descriptions
- Verb tense to match associated dates
- No page length requirements
- Bullet points are acceptable
- Match ID should be centered at top of the first page in place of name and contact information
- Keep the most relevant and impressive sections toward the beginning and the lesser relevant sections toward the end
- Entries within a section should be presented in chronological order, with the most recent activity listed first
- For each experience, be sure to list the following:
- Position title
- Major responsibilities of the position
- Place of experience
- Name of supervisor/manager/PI when available
- City, State of experience
- Start and End dates of experience
